1 week

I can't believe its been a week already! Adam is doing well adjusting to his new home. He is not longer afraid of Sebastian, our dog. He will even pet him now on occasion. We have been working on establishing a very consistent routine for Adam to help him feel comfortable in his new environment. The 12 hour time change has been difficult. For the first few days Adam was only "napping" for 2-3 hours at a time, however, 2 nights ago he slept through the night without waking. Last night he still woke up twice. Right now he seems to enjoy just being held most of the day, as well as playing with his toys occasionally. We had our first appointment with the pediatrician this week. He was very pleased with Adam's growth and development. He did say though, that he thought Adam may actually from New York, not China, due to his behavior during the examination:) Good thing both of his parents are former New Yorkers!
